VISION
a Good News Church, Loving the City ONE Life at a Time.
WE ARE
It’s all about the ONE
We want the ONE to experience that they are Loved, Belong, and have Purpose.
WE ARE
We want the ONE to experience that they are Loved, Belong, and have Purpose.
God is love, and He first loved us.
The greatest news of all time is that God loved us, and gave His Son Jesus for us. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus as we respond to that love. We believe understanding this love leads to obedience.
We are beloved children of God who can simply be loved. Receive, stay home, and abide!!
God’s love isn’t only emotional, but full of steadfast action. This shapes and informs our identity as we are rooted, and abide in Jesus. The two greatest commandments Jesus spoke stem from love - loving God, loving yourself, and loving your neighbor.
Matthew 22:34-40, 1 John 4:19, John 3:16, Matthew 3:17, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:10
We are all made in the image of God. We believe we all belong to God whether we know that or not. And once we are in Jesus we belong in the family of God.
We are hardwired for community with God and each other. That sense of belonging is something we all long for deep in our soul. When we are in Jesus we belong in the family of God and in the body of Christ. Each one (member) of us is unique and distinct to be united as one people.
We are a people set apart for God’s glory. We are committed to the body - in community. We are one.
All races, all faces, all ages - You Belong Here.
Ephesians 5:1-2, Ephesians 2:19, Romans 8:14-17, 1 Corinthians 12:12, Ephesians 3:10, Hebrews 10:25
We believe everyone was created by God, on purpose for a purpose. Each person is made beautifully and wonderfully in the image of God with a unique purpose.
Our purpose from God is more simple than we often think. It’s to be servants, and be like Jesus. In our daily lives, in all spheres of life, we are loved to love through serving one another.
Our love runs to The ONE because God’s love ran to us. We are God’s workmanship walking out the good works He prepared for our lives.
We plant and water, and trust God to make things grow. Our labor in the Lord is not in vain, and the true treasure is laboring with God not the output for God.
Ephesians 2:10, Gen 1:27, 1 Corinthians 3:6-8, 1 Corinthians 15:58, Matthew 20:1-16
Tetelestai. Christus Victor. Jesus won, He is King. Our passion is to be (abide) with Jesus & be like Jesus. (Colossians 1:15-23, Luke 24:27, John 15:4, John 19:28-30)
We believe what we read and want to live it. (John 1:1, 2 Timothy 2:15- 16, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 1:25, Matthew 24:35, Hebrews 4:12)
The Ekklesia is a people, not a building. The church is the manifold wisdom of God. We are a family on mission. (Ephesians 3:10, Ephesians 5:25, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
This is more than a class. Life on life growing together in community. (Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:1, Acts 2:44-46, Acts 4:32-35)
All are made in the image of God. We unite in Christ and celebrate diversity. All races, ages, and classes - “You Belong Here”. (Genesis 1:27, Ephesians 2:10, John 3:16)
We do for one what we wish we could do for all. To the world you may be only one person, but to one person you may be the world. Lastly think of this, one isn’t that big of a number unless it is yours. Love runs to___ the one!
“It was very good.” Work is a good thing that is restored in Jesus. We Sabbath weekly by entering the rest the Lord provides. And we are people who play and enjoy life! (Genesis 1:28-31, Genesis 2:2. Colossians 3:23-24, 1 Corinthians 15:58, Hebrews 4:9-11, Exodus 20:8-11)
Jesus moved right into our neighborhood and all deserve the same. The city is God’s plan from the start, a garden to a city. Local is global. Global is local. Love the City, the 517, and the world, one life at a time. #bloom (John 1:14, Acts 1:8, Genesis 2:4-6, 1 Peter 5:9, Revelation 21:5-14)
We are for the youth and they are the future right now. (Psalm 127:3, Matthew 19:14)
Generosity is our honor. We invest forever. (Acts 2:44-46, 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Malachi 3:8-18, Numbers 18:21, Matthew 6:21, Acts 20:35)
We dream big and move in faith one step at a time. We take calculated risks, trusting God and each other. (Ephesians 3:20-21, Hebrews 11:1)
